Flight Instructor MEP
To provide comprehensive flight training and instruction to students in multi-engine aircraft, ensuring they develop the necessary skills, knowledge, and confidence to operate safely and effectively. This includes teaching flight navigation, safety procedures, and regulations while fostering a positive learning environment. The instructor is also responsible for assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and preparing them for practical examinations and certifications.
Position Summary
To provide comprehensive flight training and instruction to students in multi-engine aircraft, ensuring they develop the necessary skills, knowledge, and confidence to operate safely and effectively. This includes teaching flight navigation, safety procedures, and regulations while fostering a positive learning environment. The instructor is also responsible for assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and preparing them for practical examinations and certifications.
Principal Responsibilities
- Supporting the CFI by ensuring effective and on-time delivery of all flight training activities in accordance with the approved syllabi.
- Advising the CFI on any safety aspects that affect flight operations or training.
- Conduct flight training exercises in compliance with this manual and in accordance with the relevant Training Manual, under the direction of the CFI.
- Delivering long briefings and relevant theoretical knowledge instruction to groups of student pilots as required.
- Completing training exercises in accordance with the specified standards, techniques, and teaching principles.
- Maintaining complete and accurate training records for students.
- Reviewing student progress and making progress reports to the CFI.
- Ensuring that licenses /ratings/medicals are maintained as per FCL requirements.
- Ensuring that instructor ratings are maintained as per FCL requirements.
- Developing syllabus and lesson plan/presentation material at the direction of the CFI.
- Achieving the defined productivity targets as required by the CFI.
- Providing pastoral care and counseling of student pilots either as individuals or as a course, if appointed as Course Mentors.
- Testing of FIs and students as required and in line with personal qualifications.
- Carrying out any other supplementary duties as required by the CFI.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications & skills:
- Proficiency in English (Spoken & Written).
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Excellent management skills.
- Effective communicator.
- Good Interpersonal skills.
- Team player.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Proficiency in using flight planning and operational management software.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and compliance.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts as per the operational requirements.
Education Required:
- EASA Commercial Pilot License.
- ICAO Commercial Pilot License.
- Valid SEP & MEP Class Ratings.
- Valid Instrument Rating (Single-engine and multi-engine privileges).
- Valid Flight Instructor Certificate with Multi-Engine Class Rating Instructor and Instrument Rating Instructor privileges.
- Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- ELP level 4 or higher.
Minimum Experience Required:
- Minimum 500 hours Total Flight time.
- 300 hours of Instructional time.
